We are very fortunate.  The Upper Hand’s hair stylists are some of the best in the country.    As a result, we get many exciting opportunities.  One day we may be highlighting the hair of a local news personality. The next day we may be styling one of Houston’s top fashion shows.  We are also the “go to” salon to help clients turn their proms, galas and weddings into special events.  Everyday is truly unique.

At your appointment, it is also entirely possible that you will see television cameras as we regularly film beauty segments. Due to our amazing hair stylists, The Upper Hand has been featured on television almost 150 times. We have taped beauty segments for ABC News, Mirror Mirror, Great Day Houston, Rachael Ray and CBS News.  These segments feature beauty news, trends, products and style.  Looking for beauty of a budget? We have done that.  Interested in secrets of the stylists?  We have filmed that topic as well.

Chances are we have filmed a segment on any beauty topic that may interest you.  While it is not possible to make all of our beauty segments available online, some segments are viewable in our television gallery. Houston Life

Prefer the adrenaline rush of live television?  We do too!  NBC’s new local talk show Houston Life debuted in August 2016.  Filmed live at their studios in the Houston Galleria, Houston Life features guests discussing travel, events and beauty.  Hosted by Jennifer Broome and Derrick Shore the show airs weekdays at 1 PM.  We are proud to say that The Upper Hand’s artistic team are regular guests on show.  Some of our recent Houston Life segments include The Perfect Blowout and Beauty Gadgets Galore.

Print and Publications

Numerous print publications have also featured our team.  These publications including Elle, Us Weekly, Paper City, Lucky Magazine as well as the Houston Chronicle.  We have also appeared in Whitney Casey’s book, The Man Plan, and written several articles for Envy magazine.  In addition, we have also been featured on Roula and Ryan, Houston’s number one morning show.  We are truly grateful and wish to thank all of our wonderful clients, friends and hair stylists for making this  possible.
